Patricia "Patty" Flansburgh, 72, passed away on January 3, 2026, in The Villages, Florida. Born on December 29, 1953, in Hialeah, Florida, Patty lived a life defined by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.
The eldest of six children, Patty's nurturing spirit emerged early and never waned. From her youth through her final days, she was a guiding force for generations of loved ones. Though she and her beloved husband Tony Flansburgh were unable to have biological children, their lives were enriched by the many children they parented and mentored over the years. Patty's role as a caregiver extended far beyond traditional boundaries—she was the matriarch of her family in every sense of the word.
Her survivors include her devoted husband, Tony Flansburgh; sons/nephews, Steven Eastman (Stacy) and Keith Smith (Taylor); daughter/great niece, Arianna Insco; brother, Norman Eastman; sister, Sandra Eastman; as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all touched by her boundless love. She is preceded in death by her mother Betty Jean Eastman (Mock); brother, Roger Eastman; sisters, Brenda Cooley and Debra Sabata; and nephew, Duane Insco.
Patty's heart was bigger than the sun. Her generosity knew no limits—she would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She was always present, always dependable—the one everyone turned to when life grew uncertain. Her strength was matched only by her fierce loyalty; she protected those she loved with unshakable resolve.
Patty loved Jesus. Her faith was not just something she believed—it radiated from within her. His light shined through every act of kindness she offered. Her life's testimony continues to reflect His love through those she touched so deeply.
Patty's legacy is one of compassion, strength, creativity, and unwavering faith. She leaves behind a family forever changed by her presence—a family that will carry forward the lessons she taught simply by living them each day.
