In Loving Memory of Patricia J. Owens
March 23, 1944 - March 26, 2026
Patricia J. Owens, lovingly known to many simply as "Pat," was born on March 23, 1944, in Colorado, the cherished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Northup. She lived a life defined by resilience, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Patricia's journey took her from the mountains of Colorado to the sun-soaked deserts of Arizona and the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska—places she proudly called home for more than 82 years. Whether surrounded by the rugged beauty of Alaska or the warmth of Arizona, she found joy in the land, the people, and the life she built.
Above all else, Patricia's greatest accomplishment and deepest pride was her family. She raised six children with strength, love, and determination, creating a legacy that continues to grow through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her life was centered around nurturing those she loved, and she did so with a fierce and selfless heart.
In Alaska, Patricia could always be found in the stands at sporting events or along the rodeo fences, cheering passionately for her children as they pursued their dreams. She was their biggest supporter, their loudest cheerleader, and their constant source of encouragement.
Patricia never met a stranger. Her kindness and warmth drew people to her wherever she went, making her a pillar in every community she touched. She dedicated countless hours to helping others—serving in homeless shelters, volunteering at food banks, and working as a district representative for the COPD Foundation in Arizona. Her compassion made a lasting difference in the lives of so many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved firstborn son, Ronny; her brother, Sonny; her sisters, Evelyn, Mackie and Pam; and her cherished granddaughter, Keyonna Pace.
Patricia is survived by her two brothers Rick Northup (Dora) and Sam Northup. Her loving children and their spouses: Rich Owens (Phyllis), Jodi Legerski (Ron), Tammy Murrin (Bryan), Scott Owens (Jenise), Jim Williams (Jennifer), and Tracey Reincke (Luke). She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Rachell, Savanna, Kamarae, Thomas, Clayton, Ronnie, Jordyn, Cactus, Kaycee, Cody, Danielle, Marek, Xander, Lorelei, Vincent, Taelynn, Avaley, and Kayler; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren: Brenton, Liberty, Dalton, Ely, Hudson, Afton, Heston, Josephine and Evangeline
Patricia's legacy is one of love, strength, and service. Her presence lit up every room, her laughter brought comfort, and her heart touched countless lives. She will be deeply and immeasurably missed, but her spirit will live on through the family she adored and the many lives she uplifted.
Patricia's life reminds us that love is the greatest legacy we can leave behind. In every cheer from the stands, every helping hand she offered, and every life she touched, she showed what it means to live fully and love deeply.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on—in her family, in her kindness, and in the countless memories she leaves behind.
