Patricia Haddle Keck, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was born on September 2, 1936, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late James Milford Haddle, Sr. and Cornelia Huffine Haddle.
Patricia graduated from Douglas County High School in 1954 and went on to attend Wesleyan College. During her college years, she met the love of her life, the late Robert Kenneth Keck. They married on July 26, 1958, and shared 38 wonderful years together.
With a lifelong heart for serving others, Patricia began her career as a medical technician at Grady Memorial Hospital and later worked as a career counselor at her alma mater, Douglas County High School. A founding member of St. Julian’s Episcopal Church, she also served faithfully on the Altar Guild. Her generous spirit extended well beyond her work and church family. She delivered Meals on Wheels for 45 years, volunteered at Wellstar Douglas Hospital, and served on the board of S.H.A.R.E. House. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, son, Philip Keck, daughters, Patti Howell (John) and Emily Dozier (Bill); her grandchildren, Molly Szalma (Stephen), Chris Howell (Sarah), and James Austin (Michelle); her great-grandchildren, James Szalma, Tyler Howell, Ace Austin, and Dax Austin; her sister, Emmaline Pursley, and sister-in-law, Debbie Haddle, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Haddle.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at St. Julian’s Episcopal Church, 5400 Stewart Mill Road, Douglasville, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., with a service following at 2:00 p.m.
