Patricia Allison Kerr Martin, 72, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born April 24, 1953, Patti graduated from Dundalk High School in 1971, continuing her education at Alderson Broaddus University and Essex Community College School of Nursing. Her compassionate spirit and dedication to healthcare were evident throughout her long career in nursing, most recently serving at Johns Hopkins.
Patti loved books and music and was a loyal supporter of her husband’s rock band. A lover of Tudor history, she possessed extensive knowledge of the subject, and participated in the annual Maryland Renaissance Festival, where she loved wearing the period garb. She enjoyed traveling to Scotland, along with her trips on Disney cruises and to Disney parks. Known for her appreciation of fine Scotch, Patti embraced life with a zest that was contagious to all who knew her. She was a strong woman who loved her family fiercely above all else.
Patti is survived by her husband, Reed Martin; son, Justin Gillies (and wife Cristiana); grandsons, Noah and Everett; mother, Dolores Kerr; and sisters and husbands, Debbie and David Long, Pam and Ron Foster, and Alison and George Dimick. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Kerr.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
