Mrs. Patricia Arnold "Pat" Licardo, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Summerville, South Carolina. Born on February 23, 1942, in Natick, Massachusetts, Pat lived a life defined by generosity, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Daughter to Warren Wilson Arnold and Jeanette Arnold (Auringer). Sister to Pamela Arnold, Wells Me., Debbie Grampietro, Shrewsbury, MA, and brother Stephen Arnold, Sanford ME.
Pat spent many years as a devoted stay-at-home mother before entering the workforce at Big Jim's in Whitney, Texas. Her time in Texas was marked by deep roots and lasting friendships. Eventually, she returned to her beloved New England home in Kittery, Maine, where she became a familiar and welcoming face at the Quarter Deck as a hostess for many years. Later, she brought her warmth and kindness to Bob's Clam Hut in Kittery, where she worked until the age of 75. Pat was known for treating everyone—whether coworkers or customers—with the same care and affection she gave her own family.
On April 5, 1969, Pat married the love of her life, Anthony Licardo. Their marriage spanned 54 years until Anthony's passing in 2023. Together they built a large and loving family that continues to carry forward their legacy of compassion and unity.
Pat is lovingly remembered by her children: Son, Richard and wife Susan Frederick Jr. of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; Daughter, Laurie Bazzle, of Summerville, South Carolina; Son, Russell and wife Christine Frederick Sr. of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; Son, Michael and wife Vicki Licardo of Aiken, South Carolina; Daughter, Michelle Licardo of Hollywood, Florida; Son, Jason and wife CJ Licardo Sr. of Melbourne, Florida; and Son, Jamie and wife Tammy Licardo of Citrus Springs, Florida.

She was also blessed to know her great-great-grandchildren: Happy Livingston and Azalia Livingston.
Those who knew Pat describe her as the kindest and most generous person—someone who opened her heart and home without hesitation. She welcomed not only her own children but also friends' families as if they were her own. Her Sunday dinners were legendary gatherings filled with laughter, love, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals shared among all who could attend.
Pat had a gift for making people feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for simply by being present. Whether at home or at work—especially during her years at Bob's Clam Hut—she extended this rare kindness to everyone around her.
One of Pat's favorite sayings was: "Don't worry about it—it will all work out." These words reflect the calm strength with which she approached life's challenges and offered reassurance to those around her.
It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to such a remarkable woman—a mother to many beyond bloodlines, an extraordinary grandmother across generations, and a quiet force of love in countless lives. Her spirit will live on in every meal shared around a table, every act of kindness extended without expectation, and every memory held close by those fortunate enough to have known her.
May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
