Patricia Mueller, born on August 18, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Medina, Minnesota.
Patricia began her career in nursing after graduating from St. Vincent Nursing School in Toledo. She worked as a Registered Nurse at several hospitals before dedicating herself full-time to raising her family. Later, she returned to the profession with renewed purpose, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of St. Francis. She resumed her work at Mayo Clinic's St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, serving in the psychiatric ward until her retirement in 2000.
In retirement, Patricia and her beloved husband David embraced a life of seasonal travel and peaceful retreats. They spent over two decades wintering at their home in Picacho Hills Country Club in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and enjoying summers at their lake homes on Bone Lake and Bear Trap Lake in Wisconsin before eventually moving to senior living.
A lifelong reader, Patricia was an active member of numerous book clubs. She was also a talented seamstress and homemaker whose creativity enriched the lives of those around her.
Travel was among Patricia's greatest joys. Alongside David, she explored much of the world with enthusiasm, visiting countries across Europe—including Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Italy, France, Czechia, and Greece—as well as Canada, Mexico, Iceland, and New Zealand.
Patricia is survived by her husband David; children Michael Mueller; John Mueller and his wife Kimberly; and Christiane Mueller; grandchildren Annika Mueller, Gavin Mueller, Aidan Mueller, Kirby Schimmels, and Madeline Schimmels; and sister Mary Carr (née Norwine).
She was preceded in death by her parents Kennett and Myrtle Norwine; brother Mark Norwine; sister-in-law Linda Norwine; brother-in-law Charles Carr; and infant granddaughter Dominique Marie Mueller.
