Patricia Jean Owens

Patricia “Patty” Jean Owens, born in Texarkana, Texas, on July 13, 1947, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Patty grew up in the Mid‑Cities and graduated from Richland High School, where her quick wit, loyalty, and warmth made her unforgettable.

Her greatest joy came from raising her three children. She poured her whole heart into being a mom, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and the kind of steady presence only she could give. As her children grew, she stepped into the workforce — first in sales, then as a secretary — but it was caregiving that became her true calling. Becoming a home health aide allowed her to pour her heart into helping others, something she did with tenderness, patience, and a genuine desire to make life easier for those in her care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Owens; her mother, Annie Murrah; and her father, James Murrah. She is survived by her three children, Danny Mayer, Jr., Donald Mayer, and Angie Blakeley (Scott); her five grandchildren; and her eight great‑grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Barbara Heien (Roger) and Kathy Luster (Donald), who shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unbreakable bonds.

She will be remembered for her caring nature, her quiet strength, and her heart of gold. Her legacy lives on in the kindness she showed, the lives she touched, and the family she loved so deeply.

There will be a Celebration of Life on April 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Abiding Grace Lutheran Church (1060 E. Highland St., Southlake, TX 76092).
