Patricia "Pat" Jeanine Smith

Patricia "Pat" Jeanine Smith, 75, of St. Leon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 22, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pat brought warmth and light wherever she went. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and cherished, and she will be remembered for her deep love of family and friends, her impeccable sense of style, and her fun-loving spirit that made every gathering brighter.

Pat shared nearly 55 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Dennis Smith. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. She was a proud and caring mother to Robert Smith (Melissa), Randy Smith (Rachel), Ryan Smith (Chelsea), and Michelle Sheets (Chris), and a deeply adored nana to Devery, Carson, Kaylen, Alex, Ella, Tucker, Camden, Elliott, and Olive. She also leaves behind her beloved pet, Rudy, who was always close by her side.

Pat is also survived by her brother, Robert Hopewell (Carol), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember her kindness, humor, and the special way she made each person feel important.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Vernon Hopewell and Shirley E Hopewell (née Toon)

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hidden Valley Lake Community Center, 19303 Schmarr Drive, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Pat's legacy is one of love, laughter, and connection. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
