Patricia Dolores "Pat" Pavloski (née Padags), age 96, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Dunedin, Florida. Born on April 24, 1929, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Pat lived a long and vibrant life filled with love, adventure, and deep devotion to her family and community.
Raised in Wisconsin, Pat graduated from Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. She was awarded an academic scholarship to Mt. Mary College—a testament to her intellect and determination—but chose a different path that led her to build a rich and fulfilling life grounded in family and service.
Pat married Nick Pavloski in Wisconsin Rapids. Together they raised four children: Cathy of Clearwater, FL; Steven (Terri) of Tomah, WI; David (Lilibeth) of Juneau, WI; and Robert, who preceded her in death. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Craig (Lori) of Leland, NC; Jayce (Stacey) of Fall River, WI; Nick (Ami Grossman) of Fall River, WI; and James of Columbus, WI—and great-grandsons Jayce and Braxtyn of Fall River. She is also survived by her brother James (Sue) of Clearwater, FL; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Pat embraced every opportunity for exploration and joy. She had a passion for travel—especially cruising and Amtrak journeys—and made several memorable trips to Germany to visit family. Her adventurous spirit never waned; she went tubing the summer she turned 75 and continued enjoying Wii Bowling until just months before her passing.
Pat found joy in the simple pleasures of life: gardening and canning from the bounty she nurtured herself; woodworking projects that reflected both creativity and skill; camping trips under the stars; peaceful afternoons spent fishing; spirited games at Friday afternoon card club; and countless rounds on the golf course well into her seventies. She was also an avid bowler for many years.
Her commitment to community was evident in her roles as a Girl Scout leader and assistant den mother for the Cub Scouts. Later in life, she delighted in being part of the Red Hat Ladies—a group that brought laughter and camaraderie into her golden years.
Faith played an important role throughout Pat's life. She was a devoted member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Columbus, Wisconsin, as well as Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, Florida.
Those who knew Pat remember her not only for her boundless energy but also for her warmth and generosity. She was a deeply caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend whose presence enriched the lives around her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Uncle Jim and Aunt Sue; cousins Debbie (Duane), Amy (Seth), Eric; her many dear friends—too numerous to name—for their enduring support over the years. Special thanks are also given to the compassionate staffs at Mease Countryside Hospital and Mease Manor for their attentive care during Pat's final days.
May Patricia's memory be a blessing to all who knew her—and may the love she gave so freely continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
Masses will be held in Florida as well as Wisconsin at a later date.
