Patricia Miller Rinker

Surrounded by family during the preceding week, Patricia Miller Rinker passed away at her residence in Woodstock, Georgia, March 24, 2026 at the age of 90.
Pat was born Patricia Ann Miller on January 3, 1936 to Leo and Betty Miller in Great Falls, Virginia. During her childhood, Pat was known as “Patsy” and grew up with sisters Kay and Becky on property adjacent to their grandparents’ farm. Her younger brother David joined the family in 1956 as the only boy among the three sisters. She attended High School in the nearby town of Herndon, Virginia where she met her future husband, Jack Rinker.
Pat was known to be outspoken and funny with strong opinions. She was a voracious reader, and possessed an interest in antique dolls, collecting and repairing many during her life. For a time, she also pursued artistic endeavors working in pastel, watercolor and acrylic media.
Although already a Christian, Pat began attending Reston Bible Church in 1979 and devoted much of her time to Bible Study and Christian literature. In addition to her Christian commitment, Pat was tenaciously devoted to all the family. She was a real patriot as well as someone who cared for children in need. She created several beautiful dolls and storybook figures in support of the Marines Toys for Tots program.
Professionally, Pat became a Licensed Customs Broker and worked for several companies in and around Dulles International Airport until her retirement from Nippon Express USA, Inc. in 2005. One year earlier, Pat and her sister Kay, who lived near each other in Reston, VA, decided it was time to move. After some exploration, they purchased homes across the street from each other in a new development in Stephens City, VA. In their new homes and new neighborhood, they enjoyed many years together.
In 2021, Pat moved to an Assisted Living Community in Woodstock, Georgia, close to her daughter Kathy and her family. Upon her relocation, she quickly made new friends and earned the nickname “Trouble” for her good natured outspokenness, and enjoyed the company of fellow retirees with nearly nightly game playing.
Pat is survived by her sisters, Kay Hutchison and Becky Maurer, and brother-in-law John Maurer, her brother, David Miller and sister-in-law Lainey Miller, her former husband, Jack Rinker, daughter Kathy Neely and son-in-law, Mark Neely, son Kenneth Rinker and daughter-in-law, Dana Rinker, four grandchildren, Emilie Morrison, Trent Neely, Madeleine Rinker and Haydn Rinker, one great grandchild, Grey Morrison (and twins currently expected, Lane and Miller Morrison). She is preceded in death by her son, Gary Rinker (2021) and one grandchild, Anabeth Rinker (1991).
With her outspokenness and a heart for God, Pat would ask that you join her family to celebrate the close of her life long journey during her funeral service to be held at the First Baptist Church, 681 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
