Patricia Ann Souke

1947 - 2026

Patricia Ann "Pat" Souke, 79, passed away peacefully in Popponesset, MA surrounded by her loving family on the afternoon of March 28, 2026, after a very brief and graceful fight against metastatic cancer.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Dean Souke, with whom she shared over 55 years of an inspiring marriage; her children and spouses, Chad Souke and his wife, Laurie; Jessica Souke and her husband, Timothy; Amanda Glickenhaus and her husband, Jesse; and her seven grandchildren, whom she adored.

Pat was born on Iron Hill Street and also raised on Commercial Street in East Weymouth, MA. She spent summers in Scituate, MA—a place where she would later marry Dean. As the daughter of William and Mary Hanlon, she was the fifth of six siblings who were close not only in age, but in their strong senses of humor, family bonds and values. She would fondly say they were "six children in seven years," and they remained devoted to supporting one another and their families in every possible way.

Education was an important value to Pat. She attended Archbishop Williams High School and later graduated with a degree in Mathematics and Education from Bridgewater State College. She went on to a brief teaching career at Bicknell Junior High and East Middle School in Weymouth. However, her greatest devotion was in raising her three thriving children—supporting them wholeheartedly and becoming their greatest fan in everything they did.

Very early in her career, Pat worked alongside her family in their corset shops located in Hingham and Quincy. It was there that she discovered her talent for fitting breast prosthetics—a skill that would become central to her life's work. With this expertise and a deep sense of purpose, Pat and her sister-in-law founded New England Medical Fitting. Over the course of 34 years, they built a vital business that provided healing and comfort to thousands of women battling breast cancer throughout the greater Boston area and beyond. Patricia's dedication to helping others continues to leave an indelible mark on countless lives.

Above all else, we know and love Pat for her incredibly strong, sarcastic, and inclusive spirit. With open arms, she welcomed everyone to her beautiful homes in Weymouth, Scituate, and Popponesset. She cherished hosting the neighborhood of Colonial Corners on her backyard deck, inviting kids in for math tutoring sessions, preparing family holiday dinners, and of course offering up her famous "clam chowdah" especially on the 4th of July. Pat had a way of making everyone, every home, and every moment connected to her feel special.

Her legacy is one of love, family, advocacy, and service to others—a testament to the lives she touched through both personal relationships and professional endeavors.

To know Pat was to feel welcomed, supported, and loved. We will carry her strength, her humor, and her no-nonsense spirit with us always.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and close loved ones in the coming months.
