Patricia Ann Tubbs

1948 - 2026

With heavy hearts we want to share that Patricia Ann Tubbs (Née Venettis), age 77, of Bakersfield, CA, left us on March 27, 2026.

Patricia was born on October 14th, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan. As an only child to Tom and Rafaela, her family moved to Sunland, California, when she was just 16 in 1964, where she attended Verdugo Hills High School. She met her husband Billy and married in 1971, raising 4 children. The Tubbs Family made Bakersfield, CA their home in 1988, where she explored many passions—everything from photography and early childhood education to working as a pharmacy technician. She had a beautiful singing voice, which she often used to sing to her cats, a talent for music, like playing piano or just about any instrument she picked up, and just had a creative flair—she could paint, sew, and cook up a storm. Patty was a big fan of bowling (until her back said otherwise) and loved collecting heirlooms and jewelry. She spent her life being a loving wife, a proud Mom and Grandma. Her generous spirit was contagious—she loved inviting family, friends, and even new acquaintances into her home with warmth and kindness. Many people knew her and her husband simply as "Aunt Pat and Uncle Bill," whether at the grocery store or on the air on QVC.

Patty is survived by her loyal and loving husband of 56 years, Billy Joe Tubbs; her children Kristina (Norbert), William (Amy), Jennifer (Brennan), and Jeffery (Gabriella); and her five adorable and talented grandchildren, Emma, Zoe, Adam, Aaron, and Kaylee.

We'd love for everyone to join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, April 11th, at 11 a.m., at Brookdale Riverwalk, 350 Calloway Drive (by the fountain), Bakersfield, CA.
