Patrick J. Ashley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away on December 2, 2025. Born in 1959 at Fort Ord, California, Pat spent his early years as an Army child, living on military bases around the world. Those experiences shaped his curiosity, discipline, and lifelong appreciation for people from every background.
Pat later settled in Washington, graduating from Puyallup High School before attending Washington State University. It was at WSU that he met the love of his life, Jamie. In May of 1985, he earned his bachelor's degree in pharmacy, beginning a career defined by intelligence, precision, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.
Pat and Jamie married in 1987, and moved to Cheney, Washington, where they built their life together. They welcomed their daughter Kelcee in 1990 and their daughter Annie in 1994—both of whom became his greatest pride and joy.
Pat was a dedicated and highly respected pharmacist. He eventually owned Wilbur Drug, where he served his community with expertise, compassion, and genuine care. After more than 25 years, he retired from pharmacy and sold the store, later finding fulfilling work at Home Depot, where he enjoyed working hard & forming friendships with coworkers. Brilliant and thoughtful, Pat had a deep love for sports, camping, travel, books, and good food—simple pleasures that enriched his life and reflected his curious mind and generous spirit. He just loved to make people laugh and have fun. He was loved by all who knew him.
He will be profoundly missed by his wife, Jamie; his daughters, Kelcee and Annie (James); and his two cherished grandchildren Jayleigh and Jayden. His legacy of knowledge, love for family, and quiet strength will live on in all who knew him. Go Patriots!
A celebration of his life will be held at the end of January.
