Patrick William Duffy, 62, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2026. Born on December 5, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, Patrick lived a charismatic life filled with hard work and meaningful connections.

He spent his early years in Lisbon, New York, where he developed an appreciation for animals and the outdoors while growing up on a farm. Shortly after relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, he unexpectedly lost his father and persevered through high school while maintaining employment at several restaurants in the area.

These formative experiences shaped his strong work ethic, meaningful friendships, and resiliency for the future.

Patrick later returned to New York with friends, where he transitioned into adulthood and soon welcomed his first daughter, Kayla.

He began his career in construction and underground infrastructure. In time, he met and married Colleen Kurtz Duffy, and together they had two children, Dylan and Dana. Together, for over 28 years, they built a blended yet close-knit family for their three children.

Patrick later transitioned into executive sales and leadership roles within the technology sector. He thrived at CXtec and other companies, where his dedication and mentorship left a lasting impression.

As he approached retirement, Patrick returned to Arizona to be closer to his mother and siblings. Over the years, his spiritual life gently expanded, and his faith became a steady presence in his life.

An adventurous spirit, Patrick embraced activities such as dirt biking, snowmobiling, and jet skiing during his time in Upstate New York. While residing in Scottsdale, Arizona, he found peace hiking in the desert's quiet beauty and observing its diverse wildlife.

Cooking was one of Patrick's greatest passions—from prep work at Bobby McGee's to perfecting his own recipes at home, he enjoyed and appreciated cuisines of all kinds.

Patrick is survived by his three children: Kayla Stein and her husband, Joshua, of Rochester, New York; Dylan Duffy; and Dana Duffy of Cicero, New York. He also leaves behind his mother, Helen Corcoran Duffy of Scottsdale, Arizona; siblings Gary Duffy of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Donna Barnard and her husband, Bill, of Wildwood, Missouri; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Palmer Duffy; his brother, Dale Martin Duffy; and his sister, Lynn Marie Duffy.

Patrick's memory will live on through the laughter he inspired and the adventures that defined a life well lived.

There will be no calling hours or service at this time; details will be shared at a later date.

A few years ago, the family discovered that Patrick's ancestors traveled from Ireland to Waddington, New York, where they helped build St. Mary's Church and cemetery—where many of his ancestors are laid to rest.

The family will gather this summer in Waddington to celebrate his life and lay him to rest alongside his siblings.
