Patrick Thomas Flynn

December 4, 1942 - January 5, 2026

Patrick Thomas was born in Newcastle, Pennsylvania on December 4, 1942 to Thomas Joseph Flynn and Virginia Scarbeck Flynn. Tragically, Virginia passed away two days later due to complications from aspiration.

Shortly after, Thomas remarriedto a beautiful woman, Martha Winger. A few years later, Pat was blessed with the birth of his sister Linda. Growing up in a Catholic household, Pat attended parochial school and became an altar boy. Pat spent most of his summers with his grandfather and family.

While working at the local grocery, he met his future wife, Nancy Jean Bach. They married on September 7, 1963. Nine months later, they were blessed with their first child, Jeffrey Michael. A short time later, Pat, Nancy and Jeff moved to Florida, where Nancy's sister and brother-in-law were living, for a new opportunity. While in Florida, they completed their family with the births of Barbra Jeanne, Stephen Gregory, and Christopher Joseph.

Pat was a hard worker, always believing in himself and wanting to give his family the best life he knew how to give. His jobs took him and the family to the Miami area, West Palm Beach and then to Cooper City where they remained.

If Pat was not at work, he would be at the ballfield coaching all of his children's sports teams, including baseball, softball, soccer, and football. Announcing games when he had the opportunity.

Pat took pride in the homes he and Nancy built and lived in. He always kept up with the maintenance of the home and anyone who knew him knows that his plush, green lawn was one of his pride joys. Even up to his last days with us, he was out in the yard, raking up the leaves.

Pat is now with his wife of 60 years, Nancy, their son, Jeff and granddaughter Kayla in heaven. Pat is survived by his sister Linda Ellis (George), his three remaining children, Barbra Collins (James), Stephen Flynn (Angela), Christopher Flynn (Tracey), his six grandchildren - Cody, Brett, Kara, Shaun, Megan and Christopher Jr., as well as many family members and friends.
