Patrick Gerald "Cowboy" Kidd, 68, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, in Saint Augustine, Florida. Born on June 24, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, Patrick lived a life marked by generosity, faith, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
A proud graduate of Grand Blanc High School's Class of 1975, Patrick went on to build a successful career as the owner of Pat's Painting. For over three decades, he poured his heart into his work, earning the respect and trust of countless clients through his craftsmanship and integrity.
Patrick was a man of many talents and passions. A gifted drummer with a deep love for music, he found joy in rhythm and melody. He also had a green thumb and took great pride in gardening and home improvement projects. Whether traveling to new places or volunteering his time to help others, Patrick approached life with enthusiasm and compassion.
His faith was the cornerstone of his life. A devoted Christian and active member of Harvest Time Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Patrick shared his love for the Lord with everyone he met. His kindness knew no bounds��he was known for giving the shirt off his back and lending a hand to anyone in need.
On February 20, 1998, Patrick married Mary Gosselin in Angola, Indiana. Affectionately calling her "Brown Eyes," Mary was the love of his life. Their bond was one of deep affection and mutual devotion that spanned 27 beautiful years.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife Mary Gosselin-Kidd; daughter Angela Kidd Lester (and husband Will) and son David Kidd (and wife Amy); siblings Christine Kidd Blocker(John), and brother Anthony Kidd; and numerous extended family members who cherished him deeply. Special friend Trent Drummond, whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo Gerald Kidd and Carleen Myers Kidd; father-in-law Ned Gosselin; mother-in-law Martha Gunther Gosselin; brother-in-law Frank Gosselin; sisters Kathleen Kidd Hess and Cyndi Kidd Adams; and brother James Kidd.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be planned at a later time.
Patrick's legacy is one of love, service, faith, and resilience. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
