Patrick John Reilly

Patrick John Reilly, 94, of Oak Hill, Virginia, passed peacefully on April 2, 2026. Pat was born in Chicago on March 13,1932, the fourth of five children to John and Marguerite Reilly. During the Depression the family moved to Crown Point, Indiana where he was raised. After high school he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Korean War. After his return from serving his country, he attended and graduated from DePaul University in Chicago. Pat married his high school sweetheart, Joan Stuhlmacher, in 1954 and they together raised seven children.

He spent his entire career at what is now ExxonMobil. His job entailed multiple family moves to Indiana, Wisconsin, New York, Texas, and New Jersey. He settled in Virgina in 1984. After his retirement in 1992, he spent the next 30 years volunteering for St. John Neumann Catholic Church, and Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.

Pat is survived by his wife Joan, and children Thomas, Carol Levy, Karen Lynn, William and his wife Renae, and Janna and her husband John Weidler. He leaves behind nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by sons Stephen and Paul. His body was donated to Georgetown University School of Medicine. He will be cremated and interred in Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.

Funeral services will be held on Friday April 24, with visitation at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Road in Reston, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers or donations, his wish is for people to "do a kind deed for each person you meet each day"
