Patsy Lucetta Ann McElroy

Patsy Lucetta Ann McElroy, born June 25, 1943, in Newton, Kansas, passed away on January 27, 2026. She spent the last 18 years of her life in Benton, Kansas, where she lived with her sister, Florence Morris. Patsy was the beloved daughter of Edward Leroy Hess and Freda May Dohner, and the only one of her siblings born in a hospital—a small family distinction she carried with quiet pride. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Price McElroy, Jr., her daughter, Nancie Vaughn, and five siblings. Patsy is survived by her sons, Harold Price McElroy III and J.P. McElroy, her sister Florence Morris, and lots of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will forever cherish her strength, warmth, and unwavering love.
