Patty Ewing

Patty Sue "Granny" Ewing (née Beech), age 77, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on March 10, 1949, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, Patty lived a life devoted to her family and those she loved.

Patty was the cherished matriarch of her family, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering presence made her a cornerstone for all who knew her. She found immense joy in caring for others, but nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were truly the light of her life and the center of her world.

She is survived by her loving children, CL (Terri) Castleman and Steve (Nicki) LeMaster; her siblings Terry (Cheryl) Beech, Kathy Beech Rogers, Nathan Beech, Connie Beech Howard, Bonnie Beech Atkins, and Penny Beech Green; step-mother Pat Beech; ex-husband Walter LeMaster; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Patty’s legacy of love and dedication will live on through each of them.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, James Lawson Beech and Minnie Lee Brasfield; step-father, James Brasfield; her husband, Gene Ewing; her brother Ricky Beech; her sister Wendy Beech Lewis; her brother-in-law Jerry Rogers and her beloved ex-husband Tommy Castleman.

Granny’s memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. May the love she shared continue to inspire and comfort all who held her dear. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Smyrna Assembly Hall 110 Front Street, Smyrna, Tn.
