Patty Ann GAUDREAULT

Patty Ann Gaudreault (Wear), 78, of Modesto, CA passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by her family, on February 3rd, 2026.

Born July 13th, 1947 in Durant, OK to Frances Loretta Frederickson (née Bishop) and George Fines Wear, she spent the first years of her life in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona, before settling down in the late 1950's with her parents and her younger brother, William Earnest Wear, in Orange, CA. She graduated in 1965 from Valley High School in Santa Ana, CA. She has been a resident of Stanislaus County for 40 years, moving to Salida, CA in 1986, and eventually to Modesto around 2001.

Patty lived a life full of love, laughter, and quiet strength. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who spent much of her life as a stay-at-home mom. She was involved in her children's activities such as cheerleading, football, baseball, and Girl Scouts (Brownies). She helped in the classroom and chaperoned many field trips. She participated in a team-couples bowling league in the 1970's and loved to bowl for fun. For a brief period in the early 1980's, she worked for Allergan Pharmaceuticals in Irvine, CA.

She will be remembered for her love of music, especially bands like Queen, The Beatles, Alabama, and Roy Orbison; her quick wit and laughter; for being very personable and a great listener; how she made everyone feel welcomed; but most of all - for her kindness, her empathy for others, and her huge heart.

She was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and wrote in the back of her Bible that her one wish was that her loved ones would come to know and have a relationship with Him just like she did.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother. She is survived by two half-brothers: Brian and Bobby Wear of Oklahoma; 4 children: James (Kellie) Gaudreault of Modesto, Chris (Jessica) Gaudreault of Coos Bay, OR, Lorrie Gaudreault of Modesto, and Nichole (Edward) Verbeski of Waterford, CA; 6 Grandsons: Nick, Nolan, Jon, Dakota, Patrick, and Logan; 3 Granddaughters: Jamie, Lynae, and Madeline; several step-grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandsons: Isiah and Rollin.
