Paul T. Ball, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, in Peekskill, New York. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Paul, known by most as Tim, lived a life marked by service—to his country, his community, and most of all, to his family.

Born on January 24, 1946, in White Plains, New York, Tim was raised in a close-knit family and later graduated from Peekskill High School. Shortly after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. From August 25, 1965 to March 13, 1969, he served honorably as a helicopter jet engine mechanic during the Vietnam conflict. His time in the Marines instilled in him a lifelong sense of discipline and dedication that would define every chapter of his life.

Following his military service, Tim returned home to build a career rooted in hard work and craftsmanship. He worked at General Motors' automotive assembly plant and later applied his skills as an HVAC sheet metal fabricator with Merv Blank. His mechanical aptitude extended beyond the workplace—he had a deep passion for vintage automobiles and could at times be found at car shows or under the hood of a classic car.

Tim's commitment to public service continued through his roles with the City of Peekskill Fire Department. He began as a volunteer firefighter before becoming a paid fire driver of Ladder 45. His courage and reliability made him a respected figure among his peers and neighbors alike.

A faithful Catholic parishioner at Assumption Church in Peekskill, Tim's spiritual life was an anchor for him throughout the years. He found strength and solace in his faith and carried those values into every aspect of his life.

Above all else, Tim was an honorable family man who cherished time with those he loved most. He adored his five grandchildren Grayson Ball, (Caitlin O'Donnell) Paul Beladino, (Julia Zivic) Matthew Ball, Ryan Ball, Kaylee Ball and took great pride in supporting them however he could—whether it was attending their sporting events, music performances, fishing and camping, or simply sharing precious time together. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren or lending a hand to friends—especially fellow craftsmen like carpenters, welders, and plumbers—with heavy work or related repairs.

Tim's love for his wife MaryAnn was unwavering; she was the center of his world. His greatest concern was always her well-being and that of their family. Known for putting others before himself, Tim's selflessness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years MaryAnn Ball, son Peter T. Ball, (Debra Ball) son Christopher J. Ball, (Patti Ball) daughter Erin A. Beladino, daughter Dannielle K. Ball, sister Cecilia Tandy and brother Peter F. Ball. He was predeceased by his father Joseph J. Ball, mother Cecilia M. Ball, brothers Rev. Joseph E. Ball, John L. Ball, James Ball, and sister Mary M. Ball.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Assumption Church in Peekskill on February 10, 2026 at 11:30am.

Tim Ball's legacy is one of quiet strength, steadfast devotion, and enduring love for family and community. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness and service in others. A Visitation will be held on February 9, 2026, from 04:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home 414 Washington St., Peekskill, N.Y.
