January 31, 1959 - March 17, 2026
Paul Frederick Buglione, 67, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, following a cardiac event.
Born on January 31, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York, Paul was the second of four boys born to Josephine and Salvatore Buglione. In 1968, his family moved to Baldwin, Long Island, where he formed lifelong friendships that he cherished deeply. Paul had a rare gift for staying connected, and those friendships remained an important part of his life. He valued his friends like family and often spoke of how much their friendship and support meant to him - especially during the most challenging times in his life.

In January of 1982, Paul moved to Boise, Idaho to begin a new chapter with Morrison Knudsen. Just a few months later, in April, he met the love of his life, Joan. They built a life together that spanned over four decades, filled with love, family, and unwavering partnership.

In 1984, Paul found his true calling when he entered the construction industry as a framer. He quickly discovered a passion for building, one that perfectly matched his curiosity, creativity, and natural problem-solving ability. He later co-founded JJP Framing & Construction with his brother Joseph and close friend James, helping build an estimated 450 homes throughout the Treasure Valley over 24 years. His work quite literally shaped the community he loved.

Idaho became more than home to Paul, it became part of who he was. He loved exploring the mountains of Idaho and Montana, especially spending time in Yellow Pine, where many of his favorite memories were made.

Paul was known for his generosity and his willingness to help anyone in need. Neighbors, friends, and family could always count on him - whether it was blowing out sprinklers, building a deck, checking in, or taking on whatever needed fixing, often with a pack of beer in hand. He was often the first to lend a hand and made many buddies along the way, friendships he genuinely treasured.

He had a love for music, especially rock and roll, which he blasted to an inappropriate level on the regular. He also enjoyed bowling and spent many years on a team at Westy's where he frequently topped 200 and got into many shenanigans with his buddies.
In the last 15 years of his career, Paul worked for ISI at Micron, where he found a renewed passion and continued to apply his creativity and problem-solving skills. He loved his work, was a mentor and valued contributor, and formed lasting bonds with coworkers who became like family.

In October 2024, Paul was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, which he fought and overcame with strength and resilience.

Above all, Paul loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan; his children, Justin, Jeremy (Diana), Melissa (Nick), and Amy (Seth); and his beloved grandchildren, Cole, Deagan, Ava, Hunter, Grace, Oaklee, Kyree, Josie, and Navie. He is also survived by his brothers, Steven (Sherry) and Michael (Holly).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Salvatore, and his brother, Joseph.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held in the summer of 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Luke's Cancer Institute in Boise.
