Mr. Paul James Marlow, of Lakewood, Ohio, 76, passed away on January 11, 2026, in Fairview Park, Ohio. Born on December 17, 1949, in Jeanette, Pennsylvania, Paul lived a life marked by dedication to his profession and deep affection for those he held dear.
Paul devoted his adult life to the field of respiratory care, working as a Respiratory Technician. His career culminated in his retirement from Southwest General Hospital, where he served patients with skill and compassion. His commitment to helping others breathe easier was a reflection of the generous spirit that defined him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joanne (née Cross) and his dear mother Mary. Their memories remained close to Paul's heart throughout his life.
Paul is survived by his son, Michael Paul Marlow; nieces Betty Jo Shaffer Kyer and Kathy Peterson; and many others whose lives were touched by his warmth and humor. He held a special place in his heart for his son's girlfriend, Breana Meade, as well as her children and grandchildren—whom he embraced as part of his own family.
Known for being funny and generous, Paul brought lightness and kindness into every room he entered. His legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired and the love he gave freely. He had cats through his whole life, with a special affection for his most recent, Katrina.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
