Paul (Paolo) Tusa, 84, Formerly from Medford, Mass, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Born on February 11, 1941, in Salemi Italy, he lived a life marked by resilience, dedication, and deep devotion to his family.
Paul immigrated to the United States with determination and hope for a better future. Though he arrived without formal professional training, his strong work ethic quickly became evident. He secured employment and worked diligently, but he aspired to more. Alongside his brothers, Paul envisioned a path where they could build something of their own. Through careful planning and perseverance, they founded Tusa Brothers Plastering—a business that would become both a livelihood and a legacy. Their collective effort and commitment turned that dream into a successful career that supported their families and stood as a testament to their unity and ambition.
Paul was one of five siblings and shared close bonds with his brothers and sister throughout his life. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Frank (Francesco) Tusa, Joe Tusa, and Beatrice (Tusa) Michaels. He was predeceased by his parents Marianna and Salvatore Tusa, his beloved brother Nick Tusa, and nephew Sal Tusa.
He leaves behind a devoted extended family who cherished him deeply. His nieces and nephews—Marian Stumpf, Donna Tusa, Christine Ragucci, Stephanie Keenan, Michael Tusa, Victoria Melo , Anthony Tusa, and Maria Tusa and Aleyna Tusa and also Matthew Michaels and Nina michaels—will carry forward memories of his kindness and strength. Paul also held a special place in the hearts of many great-nieces and great-nephews who will miss him dearly.
Known for his gentle nature and protective spirit, Paul was always ready to lend a hand or offer support to those around him. His warmth touched many lives; he was loving, kind-hearted, and steadfast in his care for others. Those who knew him will remember not only the hard work he poured into building a life for himself and his family but also the compassion he showed every step of the way.
