Paul “Pogie” Newton

Paul "Pogie" Newton, born on July 27, 1957, in Bardstown, Kentucky, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 68 years old.

Paul was the beloved son of the late Bill Newton and Nancy Jean Prather. He was also predeceased by his brothers John Douglas Newton, Christopher Newton, and Timothy Carl Newton, as well as his sister Judy Ann Newton. Despite these losses, Paul's life was enriched by the love of his surviving family members.

He is survived by his daughter Paula and son Joseph, who will forever cherish his memory. Paul was also a devoted grandfather to Timothy, Cody, and Brayden. His sister Cheri Newton survives him as well, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Paul's legacy is carried forward by those who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 21, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Fern Creek Community Association 6104 Bardstown Road
