Paul L Zonker, 83, formerly from Akron, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Paul was born June 10,1942 in Cameron, Ohio to the late Charles and Betty Zonker. Paul was raised in Akron, Ohio and graduated in 1960 from Ellet High School in Akron. After high school Paul became an apprentice at The Akron Typesetting Company. He worked at Akron Type until it closed in the late 1970's. Paul relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1984 where he worked as a security guard until his retirement in 2004.
Paul was an avid softball player and played on numerous softball teams for many years. He enjoyed watching and playing football and basketball. He was the "unofficial" family photographer and videographer. He was never without his camera or his video recorder. Paul enjoyed listening to music, especially The Beatles, The Four Seasons, Moody Blues, and The Righteous Brothers.
Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Ron. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie; sons, Steve and Chris (Amy); daughter, Adriane; sister, Karen Carson; 1 granddaughter; 3 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
In honor of Paul's wishes there was no visitation or service.
