Pearl Mae Schrock Hart, 91, passed peacefully, but unexpectedly, Monday, March 9, 2026, at her residence in Tempe, Arizona. She was born in Adams County, Indiana, on February 23, 1935, to Martin and Nora Huser. They had three children, including Beverly, Robert, and Pearl.
Pearl married Enos “Ed” Schrock September 6, 1952. They lived in Monroe, Indiana, where they raised their three daughters, Victoria “Vikki” Ann, Cheryl “Cheri” Lee, and Teresa “Teri” Sue. The family moved to Tempe, Arizona, in 1970, in hopes of helping Pearl’s health issues, which proved to be a saving grace. Pearl and Ed divorced in 1976; he passed away in 2018.
Pearl, fondly called “Pearly-Mae”, made friends wherever she went and had the ability to make everyone feel loved and cared about. She lit up the room with her beautiful smile, was curious and adventurous, and was often the life of the party. Pearl worked in pool sales, serviced vending machines, and aided the staff at a hospital’s dialysis unit, the job she enjoyed the most. She always nurtured pets, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, bunnies, chickens, fish, turtles, horses, a raccoon, and woolly monkeys (to name a few). She will always be cherished by family, extended families, and friends around the country.
In 1977, Pearl married Richard (Bud) Hart, a cowboy in every true sense of the word. Their union also ended in divorce, but they were good friends until his death in 2016. Then Pearl was in a loving relationship with Richard (Dick) Cook until his death in 1991. Lastly, Pearl was in a long-term relationship with Samuel (Sam) Villarreal until her death.
Pearl is survived by Cheri and Rob Hewitt, and Vikki and Rob Larchick. Vikki and Rob gave her three wonderful grandchildren, Matthew (Dana), Michael, and Melissa, and four great grandchildren, including Skylar, Breanna, Kaiyan, and Ariana. Pearl is also survived by many loving members of the Huser and Schrock families. Pearl was predeceased by her daughter, Teresa Schrock Ackerman, and her grandson, Matthew Larchick.
