Peggy Joann "Tuttie" Estes, 57, of Marshall, Missouri, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Marshall. She was born on February 20, 1969, in Columbia, Missouri. Peggy was lovingly raised by her parents Haskell Reynolds and Peggy Jo Estes, alongside her grandmother Melba Jean Estes and grandfather Jewell Estes of Miami, Missouri. She shared her childhood with her brother John Mahan and was surrounded by the love of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Peggy attended Miami Grade School before graduating from Marshall Senior High School. She went on to pursue a nursing degree at Marshall SCCC School. Her dedication to helping others led her to a long and fulfilling career in healthcare. Peggy worked for many years at the Marshall Habilitation Center before continuing her career at the VA University Hospital in Columbia, where she formed lasting friendships and cherished her time there. Later in life, she worked at a nursing home near the Lake of the Ozarks and most recently served as a nurse for Conagra.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Peggy proudly served as a member of the United States Army. Her service reflected her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Peggy married Gregory Paul Browder early in life, and together they had three children: Fallon Browder, Shawn Browder, and Kris Browder. Later, she married Brian Luke of Carrollton, Missouri. Peggy deeply loved her family and found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her two beloved pit bulls were also an important part of her life.
Peggy enjoyed traveling and especially treasured memories made at the beach during a recent vacation. She embraced life’s simple pleasures and found happiness in creating loving moments with those closest to her.
She is survived by her three children Fallon Browder, Shawn Browder, and Kris Browder—as well as her partner Brian Luke and many grandchildren who will carry forward her memory.
