Peggy Lynn Kelly

1949 - 2026

Peggy Kelly of Sterling Heights passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 76 after living courageously with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) since 2021.

Born in Pigeon, Michigan on March 16, 1949, she was the youngest daughter of Bertha (Neiss/Kisner) and Paul Faust, sister to Robert Faust, twins - Jeanine Ziehm (Faust) and Jeannette McDonald (Faust) and Barbara Werth (Faust). Peggy is survived by her sister Jeanine Ziehm, Son – Rickey L. (Susan) Brown, grandson’s Tyler and Eric Brown; Son’s - Walter J. Stanczyk III, David P. (Sarah) Stanczyk; step-grandchildren (David) Trevor, Jordan, Annabelle, and Sierra Romanovsky.

Peggy graduated from Owen-Gage High School in 1967 as a Salutatorian. She attended multiple colleges attaining degrees from Mott and Macomb Community Colleges respectively. She held many work positions throughout the years from insurance sales to automotive service, also starting her own craft business, but ultimately focusing her final career on being a Paralegal. She loved crafting, taking photographs, and baking specialty cakes or pies for the people she held dear.

Peggy was an endlessly proud grandmother; she was a constant enthusiastic presence at her two grandsons’ school events and sporting activities. Equal to her love for her grandsons was her passion for classic cars, especially her 1973 convertible Corvette, and her dedication as editor of her classic car club’s newsletter.

Like many financially challenged seniors facing life-altering health issues, Peggy encountered significant financial obstacles, but she was grateful for the compassion and support she received along the way. Meals on Wheels and Cindy Morley of Parents Changing Spaces assisted greatly helping her navigate some of these challenges.

A short visitation will be held starting at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life honoring Peggy at 11:00 a.m. on April 25, 2026, at Cross Lutheran Church – 35851 Utica Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. There will be a luncheon at the church following.

In Lieu of Flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Meals on Wheels, Parents Changing Spaces, or Cross Lutheran Church.
