Peggy Lyle passed away peacefully in her Fort Worth home surrounded by the love of her daughters on December 30, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother and friend. Her powerful presence will forever be missed. Her favorite saying was always "What's the bottom line?" So here we go...
Peggy was born on November 4, 1947, to Jack and Doris Patterson. She was the middle child born between Rosalee and Mike. She was raised in Henrietta, TX.
She graduated Henrietta High School in 1965 in just three years, stating "I want to get the hell out of high school". She was ready to leave her small town and start a life in the big city of Dallas wanting to take on the world...and that's just what she did. While residing in Dallas, she met her husband, Larry Lyle, and moved to Fort Worth as he would later pass in 2006. She never went on another date as Larry was the love of her life and she wanted to make sure it stayed that way.
After working in collections for decades, she met a remarkable woman, Darlene, who would later employ her in 1992 as her Collections Manager. Over the years she climbed the ladder and reached the peak in 2008 landing the role of Senior Vice President where she stayed until she officially retired a few years ago. That woman could collect a debt of someone whose bank account was in the negative!
Peggy was quite the firecracker. She was fun, witty and had a talent for storytelling. You never knew what kind of day you were in for when you were with her. Days with her were always quite interesting. She loved to craft, but most of all she loved to shop!
Peggy loved her family and friends unconditionally. She loved helping others with whatever was needed. She prided herself on always having her door open for her family no matter the time of day or night or the circumstances. You could always count on her to answer her phone and say yes to whatever was asked of her. And through those actions, her children parent the same way.
Her daughters Mandy and Jennasi, her grandchildren Emily, Shane and Parker, her great grandson Grayson, her beloved dog Abby, along with extended family and friends will continue to love and miss her every single day.
As requested by Peggy there will be no funeral service. She wants to be remembered as the lively, spunky, charismatic woman she lived her life as and requested no one be sad of her passing. "It's just the circle of life" she'd say. In lieu of a celebration of life she requested everyone that loves her take a moment to remember something special between them and smile.
Thank you to everyone who crossed Peggy's path and impacted her in a positive way. To her, strangers were only friends she hadn't met yet. And that's a wrap. We love you, Mama!
