It is with profound sadness and indescribable grief that we inform you of the passing of Peggy Ann (Wyrick) Callaway. Her spirit left this earth at 10:08 a.m. Feb. 25, 2026 at her home in Laurel Mountain Lakes, Madisonville, TN.
Born August 15th, 1945 in Crockett, Virginia, Peggy was the eldest child of Harold and Dorothy Wyrick. Peggy is survived by her husband of 38 years Cal Callaway, her daughter Joey (Matt) Bunbury, her son Jason (Shital) Olson, stepsons Michael (Kelly) Callaway and Kevin Callaway, and stepdaughter Kristen (James) Sharp. Peggy is also survived by her sister Linda (Arnold) Angeloni, brother Rocky Wyrick, and Tammy Grubb.

Additionally, Peggy is survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren: Alex and Steve Kovarick, Ashley and David Wong, Wesley Haine, Erica Jensen, Travis and Kelly Wyrick, and Jessica Knox.
Her grandchildren: Tamera (Tony) Jensen Callaway, Jamar Callaway and great-grandchild Tahlia Jensen.
Peggy is a 1963 graduate of Stoughton, Wisconsin. Peggy gained her considerable secretarial and accounting skills at Milwaukee Technical College. She applied her knowledge and skills in various occupations throughout her professional life. Employers include State Farm Insurance, Brooklyn Elementary School (where her children attended), Oregon School District, Village of Oregon and many years at Boettcher Law Office, Madison WI. She also served as secretary/treasurer for the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. She served during the terms of four WFCA presidents and was awarded the Dave McLean Distinguished Service Award which hangs in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Museum.
Peggy will be remembered by all who knew her for her empathetic personality, "She never met a stranger". Her love for all nature, especially the Eastern Mountain Ranges, flower gardening, and cardinals. She ended a fabulous life and will be sorely missed. She was cremated in Tennessee on March 2, 2026 and requested her ashes be spread upon her death. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers should be directed to kidney organizations to support kidney research and patient advocacy programs such as the National Kidney foundation of Wisconsin https://www.kidneywi.org/chronic-kidney-disease/
