Peter Heaney Heymann, 81, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2025, in Fischer, Texas.
Peter was born on February 13, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Dr. Hans Emil Heymann and Mary Kathryn Winifred Heaney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Joann "Jody" Heymann, and by his son, Brent Wayne Heymann.
Peter graduated from Texas Military Institute in 1963 and later attended The University of Corpus Christi, now Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he specialized in accounting.
Peter enjoyed the outdoors all his life - hunting, camping, fishing, and had a lifelong love of flying. One of the great joys of his life was seeing The Spirit of St. Louis in Washington, D.C. in 2014. He also enjoyed photography (he was even nicknamed "Paparazzi Pete"), as well as playing the guitar, hobbies that brought him both joy and peace throughout his life, and especially in his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnson Heymann; his former wife, Cheryl Lynn Heymann; son, Michael Aaron Heymann and wife Laura; daughter, Stephanie Lynette Garcia and husband Eddie; and his grandchildren, Victoria Heymann Money and husband Bradley, Elias Aaron Heymann and wife Amanda, Isabella Garcia, and Isaac Garcia. He is also survived by his brothers, John Heymann and Stephen Heymann, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
