Peter Andrew "Pete" Rouser, 72, passed away on September 14, 2025, in Aurora, Illinois.

Born on April 11, 1953, in Moline, Illinois, Pete was raised in Aurora and attended from West Aurora High School (and Franklin Jr High) with the class of 1971. His early years were shaped by a strong sense of community and faith, having been raised in Holy Angels Church. Later in life, he became a member of Shepherds Chapel.

Pete began his professional journey at Aurora Plastics before moving on to a long and fulfilling career at Caterpillar. After retiring from Caterpillar, he found joy and purpose in a second career as a school crossing guard for the children at Brady School in Aurora—a role that reflected his caring nature and commitment to his community.

A man of many passions, Pete was known for having one of the most impressive LP album collections of music from the 1960s and 1970s. His love for classic rock and soul was legendary among those who knew him. He also dedicated time to animal rescue services, showing compassion not only for people but for animals in need.

Pete was a fun-loving spirit who never missed an episode of Svengoolie. He had a deep faith in the Lord and cherished his family above all else. He was devoted to his son Justin and shared close bonds with his brother Chris and sisters Rosy and Alicia. He was the beloved son of Don and Lillian Rouser of Aurora.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire kindness, laughter, and love.
