Peyton Randy Keller, 85, passed peacefully in his home on December 30, 2025, survived by his wife, Kathryn Keller and his sister, Virginia Keller Shannon. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia, one of four children of Peyton Randolph Keller and Mary Lee Keller. His other two sisters, Barbara Keller Blakemore and Mary Keller Hatt predeceased him. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney and later from Seaberry Western Seminary in Evanston, Illinois in 1968 with a Licentiate in Pastoral Care. In addition he had Master’s degrees in both Clinical Social Work and Social and Behavioral Science Administration. He worked at the Lawrence Hall School for Boys as a social worker and counselor and then at the Veterans Administration where he helped homeless veterans get food, medical care, and housing. In retirement he loved oil painting. He was a Deacon at the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago. He and Kathryn were devoted to each other and to their church community. Peyton Randy will be remembered as an intelligent, kind, and caring gentleman who will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on March 13th in the Sanctuary of the Fourth Presbyterian Church at 10:30 am, followed by a reception in Anderson Hall.
