Phillip Allan “P.J.” Black, Jr., 33

Phillip Allan “P.J.” Black, age 33, passed away on September 24, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Born on July 1, 1992, in Conway Hospital , Myrtle beach is what he called home throughout his life, P.J. left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

P.J. was the beloved son of the late Constance “Hussey” Black (Mother) and Phillip Allan Black(Father) . He is survived by Judie Carey Rose Black (His little Sister)

He attended Forestbrook Middle School and continued his education at Myrtle Beach High School and Socastee High School. Over the years, P.J. worked in construction and installation and also spent time employed at Food Lion. His work ethic and hands-on skills were evident in everything he did.

Outside of work, P.J. found joy in simple pleasures—fishing on quiet days, cracking open a cold beer with friends, and immersing himself in video games that brought back memories of his childhood. A true fan of nostalgia, he loved everything from classic WWE wrestling—especially Stone Cold and Eddie Guerrero to old-school music spanning heavy metal and rock genres.

Those who knew P.J. remember him as someone who could light up a room with his presence. He had a unique ability to connect with people—whether through laughter, heartfelt advice, or simply being there when someone needed to talk. He was known for dropping everything to lend an ear or share a moment over a beer. His love for the '90s and early 2000s culture made him a favorite companion for late-night hangouts filled with stories and music and bonfires.

To his sibling—who called him “Bubba” as a child—P.J. was more than just a brother; he was a confidant, protector, and get into arguments, and picked on each other all the time and above all else, a source of wisdom wrapped in humor and honesty. Despite their differences growing up, their bond remained unbreakable—a testament to the deep love they shared as siblings who looked after each other .

P.J.’s life was not without its struggles, but he faced them with resilience and heart. He carried within him both strength and vulnerability—a combination that made him relatable to many and unforgettable to all.

A Christian by faith, P.J.’s spirit now rests alongside his parents. His memory lives on through those who laughed with him, leaned on him during hard times, and cherished every moment spent in his company.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him—and may he rest peacefully reunited with his loved ones above.
