Phillip Matthew Williamson

Phillip Matthew Williamson, 69, of Lakeland passed away Monday, March 23, 2026. Born August 11th, 1956 in Tampa to Marvin Thomas and Sadie Alleaine. He remained a dedicated servant of the Lord his entire life and was the devoted pastor of the New Hope Community Church for 21 years. He also retired after 19 years of service from JP Morgan Chase.

Phillip was pre-deceased by his parents; brothers, Michael and Mitchell; and his son, Jonathan. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, JoAnne (née Ingram); his children Matthew, Christine and George Wilson, Rebecca and partner Greg Loredo, Sarah and Sean McBride, Isaiah, Joshua, Abigail and Timothy Wiegman, Samuel, Hannah, Nathaniel and fiancée Raven Bass, Ariel, and Lydia; eight grandchildren (Lilly, Jase, Levi, Jett, James, Elizabeth, Eleanor and Jonathan); brother, Nathan and wife Martha.

A true artist, Phillip enjoyed sharing his talents of singing and creating art. He celebrated beauty even in small things, especially gardening and caring for his orchids. Most of all Phillip enjoyed sharing his time, knowledge and wisdom with people, whether it was through an act of service or a long conversation. Phillip Matthew Williamson will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered for the love and care he had for people, the beauty he created, and the faith he shared.

Memorial Services were held on March 28th at Dover Advent Christian Church in Dover, Florida.
