Priscilla Havemeyer Huston,102, died peacefully on January 25, 2026, in Gladwyne, PA. Born in New York, NY, on December 27, 1923, she was the daughter of Charles Frederick Havemeyer and Ellen Randolph Havemeyer and the sister of the late Carley Wagner.
She attended The Chapin School and graduated from Miss Porter's School before serving as a Nurse's Aide at Roosevelt Hospital—now Mount Sinai West—during World War II.
Priscilla was the devoted mother of Carley Smith (Barry), Elaine Brown (Bruce), Natalie Crichton (Greig), Priscilla "Posie" Huston, and the loving stepmother of Evelyn Getman (Christopher) and Morrison Huston Jr. (Elizabeth). She was deeply loved by her grandchildren, Christopher Smith (Anne), Sara Szulc (Michael), Andrew Crichton (Tracy), Beth Crichton, and Carter Brown, and by her great-grandchildren, Alden and Eugenia Smith, Lila Szulc, and Costa and Aya Crichton. She also leaves behind her beloved niece, Nancy Mixter, and nephews, Charles and Stephen Wagner and their families.
Priscilla's family was her greatest pride. She supported her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with love that never wavered and support that was always felt.
She found joy in creating beauty—through her gardens, her watercolors, and her Sailors' Valentines. She also held a deep and enduring commitment to the care and dignity of individuals with disabilities. She lived with intention, generosity, resilience, and a presence that made others feel valued. Her elegance and grace were constants in her life.
A memorial service will be held at Old St. David's Church, 763 South Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA at 2:30 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Internment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Posie Huston Fund for Aging Villagers, Camphill Village, Box 1045, Kimberton, PA 19442
