Rachel Marie Stewart, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother, passed away on December 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength. She was born on December 27, 1992, and spent much of her life rooted in New Hampshire, a place that always remained home to her heart.
Rachel grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from Winnisquam Regional High School in 2011. Those who knew her during those years remember her for her beaming smile, her warmth, her deep loyalty to the people she loved, and her ability to find humor and light even in life's more difficult moments. New Hampshire shaped her, and no matter where life took her, New Hampshire was the place she called home.
In the last few years of her life, Rachel lived in Molena, Georgia. While she embraced this chapter with courage and grace, her heart was always pulling her north. She fully intended to return to New Hampshire to be closer to her mother, a bond that remained one of the most important relationships of her life.
Rachel was predeceased by her beloved grandfather, William H. Stewart, who held a special place in her heart, as well as her paternal and maternal great-grandparents, whose lives helped pave the way for the family she cherished so deeply.
She leaves behind her devoted mother, Dr. Angela Marie Stewart Friborg, and her stepfather, Carl Robert Friborg, who supported and loved her wholeheartedly. Rachel is also survived by her beautiful younger sister, Megan, and by her husband, Andrew, of Molena, GA. Above all, she leaves behind her most treasured gift to the world, her amazing daughter, Avery Marie, who was the center of Rachel's universe and the greatest expression of her love, hope, and purpose.
Rachel's life was defined not by its length, but by the depth of her love and the impact she had on those around her. She was a fiercely loving mother, a devoted daughter, and a woman whose presence made others feel seen and understood. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the love she gave so freely, and the lives forever changed by knowing her.
