Rafael Sanchez

Rafael Slater Sanchez, age 53, of San Gabriel, California, passed away unexpectedly at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California, on February 26, 2026. He is survived by his loving husband, Ryan Slater and their dog Dexter, siblings Guadalupe Peralta, Jose Peralta, Otoniel Peralta, Paula Peralta, Bertha Sanchez, Jorge Arellano, Catalina Benitez, Estela Benitez, Juana Benitez, Leticia Reynoso and their families, in-laws Larry and Karen Slater, brother-in-law Brady Slater and their families. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Catalina Sanchez Arellano, birth parents Camarino Peralta and Josefina Sanchez. Rafael cherished his family and his close friends he called family, all of whom will miss him dearly. Rafael obtained an Associate in Arts degree from Orange Coast College and went onto a career in Accounting. Rafael loved walking his dog Dexter, travelling, fine art, cooking, snow boarding and relaxing getaways in Palm Springs. A private Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held.
