Ralph James “Jim” Baskerville Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in Cumming, Georgia. Born on June 16, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Ralph James Baskerville Sr. and Madeleine (Bohlinger) Baskerville.

Jim shared an extraordinary 67 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Loretta (Harrison) Baskerville, a union marked by steadfast devotion and enduring love.
In 1960, Jim graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. During his time at Georgia Tech, he participated in the Army ROTC program and became a lifelong member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Following his graduation, Jim embarked on a successful career with Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio. His work there was distinguished by his contributions to several product patents. He and Loretta made their home in Finneytown, Cincinnati, where they raised their family together.

Jim had a passion for golf that lasted throughout his life and found immense joy in music, dancing, traveling, and spending time with family. His adventurous spirit often led him to explore new destinations or enjoy a good drive—whether on the road or the golf course. Known as a true gentleman and a man of unwavering dedication to his loved ones, Jim’s kindness and integrity left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Jim was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his wife Loretta; daughters Lynn (Marc) Rosenfeld and Patricia (Chris) Dean; grandchildren Cameron (Kimberly) Rosenfeld, Kaitlyn Rosenfeld, Abby (Alan) Pearson, Kimberly (Luke) Bryant, and Michael Dean; three great-grandchildren Cannin Rosenfeld, Knoxden Rosenfeld, and Isaac Bryant; as well as his brother Gordon Baskerville.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Sawnee View Gardens located at 1390 Dahlonega Hwy in Cumming, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made online in memory of Ralph James Baskerville Jr. to the Dementia Society of America at www.dementiasociety.org/donate.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and inspire others to live with the same grace and generosity he exemplified throughout his life.
