Randall Paul Fender, "Randy", age 61, died peacefully March 9, 2026 surrounded by family after a two year battle with cancer. Known for his intelligence, knowledge ,mathematical and scientific ability, and physical coordination, Randy applied skill, dedication, and enthusiasm to his pursuits and hobbies, including novice and junior heavyweight, super bike racing for which he won several awards, original design carpentry for himself and family, astronomy and telescope making, and baking. He was unfailingly generous with his time and effort when anyone he knew needed a helping hand, even during his illness. Randy leaves behind him, in mourning and joyful remembrance, the most important person in his life, beloved daughter Sarah Fender, mother Lillian Fender, sisters Cheri Fender and Michelle Fender, nephews Joshua Ranslow, and Zachary Ranslow, brother-in-law Jake Ramirez, and Zachary's fiancé and her daughter, Tina Acquaviva, and Giovanna Alphonse, many friends, especially longtime friend Terry Sterns and his friends at Kingswood Kitchens who provided support and assistance during his last two years. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Carl Maynard Fender. Those wishing to remember him can make donations to the John J McCarthy Observatory in New Milford Connecticut.
