My father, Randolph "Randy" Jay Funderburk, passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2025, at the age of 79, held in care, dignity, and a lot of love.
My dad lived a life shaped by quiet strength, service, and perseverance. He proudly served in the United States Army, carrying that sense of duty with him long after his uniform was folded away. He was resilient, determined, and, in his own way, deeply kind.
To me, he was simply Dad, imperfect, human, and unforgettable. His presence, his humor, and the lessons he taught through both words and actions will stay with me always. Even in his final days, he showed grace and courage, reminding those around him of the power of endurance and love.
A private remembrance will be held. Those who wish may honor my father by carrying forward the quiet strength he lived by and by holding close the people they love.
