Randolph Anthony Sandoval, Sr., 77, passed away on December 31, 2025, in Rio Vista, California. Born on May 30, 1948, in San Jose, California, Randolph lived a life marked by generosity, faith, and unwavering devotion to his family.

A proud graduate of San Jose High School, Randolph went on to attend San Jose State University. His professional journey was as impressive as it was impactful. He began his career at NASA, where he contributed to the construction of satellites for space exploration—an achievement that reflected both his technical skill and dedication to progress. Later, he brought the same work ethic and commitment to PG&E, where he operated heavy machinery and served in the call center. Through every role he held, Randolph worked tirelessly to provide a better life for his children and support those around him.

Randolph's legacy is one of selflessness and compassion. Known for his charismatic personality and infectious laugh, he had a kind heart that touched everyone who knew him. He never hesitated to lend a hand or offer support—often quite literally giving the shirt off his back to someone in need. His life embodied the words of Acts 20:35: "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Family was the cornerstone of Randolph's world. He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Diane Sandoval, and together they raised two children: Valerie and Randolph Jr. He was also a proud father-in-law to Eddie Moreno Jr. and Ivanya Sandoval, His pride extended deeply into the next generation—he cherished every moment spent with his five grandchildren: Jordan Sandoval, Londyn Moreno, Enzo Sandoval, Lincoln Moreno, and Zara Sandoval. Whether watching them play sports or hearing about their latest accomplishments, Randolph found immense joy in their lives.

He also remained close with his sisters Joanne Smith and Maria Sandoval. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Sally Ley and Victor Sandoval Sr., and by his brothers Dennis Sandoval, Richard Sandoval, and Victor Sandoval Jr.

Outside of work and family life, Randolph found happiness in simple pleasures. A passionate fan of Bay Area sports teams, he cheered faithfully for the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants. He loved fishing—a pastime that allowed him moments of peace—and had a fondness for lottery tickets that added a bit of fun to everyday life.

Randolph Anthony Sandoval Sr.'s presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory lives on through the love he gave so freely and the lives he touched so profoundly.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Funeral Service will be held on January 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM at Holy Family Parish 4848 Pearl Avenue San Jose, CA 95136.
