Randy M. Hurst

CONNEAUT, Ohio — Randy M. Hurst, 70, of Coal City, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 in Conneaut, Ohio.

Born May 17, 1955 in Red Bud, IL, Randy was the son of the late Milton and Ruby (Mehner) Hurst. He was raised in Tilden, IL, but later moved to Wilmington, IL, where he graduated from Wilmington High School in 1973. He was a machinist out of Rockdale, IL.

Randy enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and had a thirst for knowledge.

Randy is survived by two children, Jason Hurst of Elwood, IL, and Brandy (Mark) Malone of Channahon, IL; two grandchildren, Noah and Annalise Malone; two brothers, Daniel (Mary) Hurst of Joliet, IL, and Dale (Christina) Hurst of Channahon, IL; and other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
