Ray Han, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, was called home by the Lord on November 7, 2025.

Ray was an intellectual powerhouse whose life was marked by deep curiosity and extraordinary academic achievement. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Yale University, a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from Stanford University, pursuing his education further by attending the Harvard Business Analytics Program and then a prestigious Ph.D. His brilliance was matched by his dedication to teaching and mentorship. Ray shared his gifts as a lecturer at UCLA and through research and teaching positions at Tsinghua University and Renmin University in China, where he was respected by colleagues and cherished by his students.

Across both coasts, Ray was a vibrant and well-known presence within Ivy League alumni networks. He opened doors for others, offering guidance, encouragement, and professional references that helped colleagues and former students advance in their own journeys. Those he mentored remember not only his wisdom but also the care and sincerity with which he offered advice.

We extend our love and prayers to his mother Sue, his sister Amy, his nephew William, and all who held Ray close in friendship and love.

As we grieve his earthly absence, we do so with the assurance Ray held dear: that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. The same Savior who sustained him in life now welcomes him into eternal joy.
