Devoted and beloved wife of the late Robert Schy.
Born and lived in Hyde Park, Chicago, the South Side, and Glenview.
Raised during the depression, by proud, hardworking immigrant parents, Hyman and Sarah (née Choos) DeMar. Ray was a humble and vivacious woman who took care of herself and taught her kids to do the same. She loved her family with her whole heart and was a loyal and steadfast friend. A link to the past, gone to rest. Truly the end of an era. Ray's legacy endures with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Adored mother of Terry, Scot, and the late Philip (Iris), the late Anita (Jeffrey), and the late Lee. Cherished grandmother of Carrie, Lindsey (Joe), Samantha, Claire, Jacqueline, and Nora. Proud great grandmother of Henry, Ella, Sloan, and Jake. Dedicated sister of the late Martin DeMar (Doris) and the late Arthur DeMar (Joyce). Ninety-Eight meaningful years filled with so much love but too much loss. "Time goes, you say? Ah no, alas time stays; we go."
