Ray was the oldest child to Betty Rose and Charles Carroll and was born in Pana, IL. He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Jean Carroll; their four children, Becka Carroll, Bethanay Pollet (Reymund), Mark Carroll (Rebecca), and Charlie Carroll (Jamie); and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his four siblings, Brian Carroll (Carri), Kevin Carroll (Cindy), Ed Carroll (Drea), and Kimberly Carroll and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Rose and Charles Carroll.

Ray honorably served in the United States Navy from 1978 - 1984. He was a proud veteran and loved his Navy brothers and sisters.
