Raymond C. Chelmowski Jr.

Raymond Clarence Chelmowski Jr., 74, of Elgin, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Trinity, FL.

Raymond (Ray) was born in Chicago, IL to Marie Chelmowski and Raymond C. Chelmowski Sr. on January 15, 1952. He married Patricia Helmold on November 14, 1986. He worked for many years as a supervisor for United Airlines. In his free time, he could often be found tinkering and fixing friends' cars. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Marines. He was even more proud of his active part in numerous community organization including The American Legion, The Son's of the American Legion, The AMVETS, The VFW, The Marine Corps League, The Moose, The Lions Club, The Owls Club, among others. Everyone that knew Ray recognized his emphatic love for the Green Bay Packers. Ray especially enjoyed his time out on the water, cruising on his boat in hopes of catching the fish of a lifetime.

Raymond is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Chelmowski, his father Raymond C. Chelmowski Sr., and his sister Lyndia Peszat.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Patricia Chelmowski, his daughter Christina Brown (Joshua), and his sister Laura Sherrill.

Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at The Genoa Veterans Home. Please bring memories and pictures to share with the family.
