Surrounded by his pride and joy, his wife and children, Raymond Jr. Hattem passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in St-Jérome, Québec, Ray remained deeply proud of his roots throughout his life.

Ray lived his life the same way he faced Parkinson's disease for over 20 years; with quiet strength, courage, and grace; never wavering from the positivity he shared so generously with everyone who knew him.

Ray took immense pride in his grandchildren, Raymond, Alexander, Olivia, Nicolas, Aya, and Gabriel, who brought him endless joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his partner in life and constant source of love and strength, and by his four children Robert (Mary), Leslie (Sandra), Jason (Natasha), and Marisa (Ramzi) who carry forward his name, values, and spirit with great pride.

Ray was predeceased by his parents, Raymond Sr. and Beatrice, and his brother, Bill (Suzanne). He is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Hélene) and Andrew (Stephanie), the mother of his children, Marlene Habib, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the CLSC Cote-des-Neiges, with special thanks to Rimma and Denise, whose dedication and exceptional care brought comfort and dignity to Ray and his family.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Urgel Bourgie, 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Mount Royal, QC H3P 0A1. A tribute in Ray's honor will be held at 8:30 p.m. during the evening visitation.

A church service will be held on Friday, January 30, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 80 Rue de Castelnau East, Montréal, QC H2R 1P2.
