Raymond John Millenaar, 86, of Lake Stevens, Washington, passed away at his home on February 11, 2026, surrounded by family.

Ray was born on May 30, 1939, in Everett, Washington, to Garrett and Betty Millenaar. He worked at Nord Door and Weyerhaeuser before becoming a longshoreman. Ray retired in 2011 from ILWU Local 19 after a 37 year career working in Everett and Seattle. Ray lived a full life shaped by family, country music, classic westerns, and the many things he enjoyed collecting. He spent his retirement years visiting loved ones and cherishing time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn, of 38 years, his sons Mark Millenaar of Everson, WA, John Millenaar of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Christopher Booker of San Bernardino, CA, sister Patti Totey of Everett, WA, brother Mike (Lois) Millenaar of Arlington, WA, mother in law Daisy Peterson—his favorite person to visit—of St. George, UT, brother in law Marvin Cornett of St. George, UT, sister in law Brenda Cornett of Eureka, IL, daughter in law Checka Booker of Temecula, CA, son in law James (Wendy) Dupras of Payson, UT, and many nieces and nephews.
Ray was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren: Alexis Dupras, CJ (Christopher) Dupras, Lilyana Millenaar, Katelyn Millenaar, Camden Booker, Madison Dupras, Hunter Cattaneo, and Courtney (Cattaneo) Bayne.

Ray was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Ann (Millenaar) Dupras, sister Carol (Clarence) Engell, his brother in law Norm Totey, and his parents, Garrett and Betty Millenaar.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Ray's life. He will be laid to rest at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Oak Harbor, Washington.
